Club Information & Rules

Payment

The person making the booking will have the entire cost of the court deducted from their prepayment deposit. The court cost is £6.60 for 45 minutes. It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to seek reimbursement from their opponent for half the cost of the court. Membership includes your registration with England Squash and Racketball and entitles you to attend the monthly club night. Short notice cancellations (less than 1 day) will be 50% refunded. Long notice cancellations (more than 1 day) will be refunded in full.

Using the Squash Courts

Players are responsible for ensuring the state of the squash court and as such you are able to invite guest players, but they should always be accompanied by a member of the club. The club member will be held personally responsible for any damage they do to the facilities. When playing non-members the court cost is £10 for 45 minutes Monday to Friday. There is no premium increase to play non-members on Saturdays.

NON MARKING SOLES ONLY to be worn on the court at all times.

When you attend the school grounds the sports hall is the smallest building to the left of the main school building. To meet with fire safety regulations you are required to complete a signing in book in the caretaker’s office which is just to the right of the squash courts.

Club nights

Club nights will usually be held on the first Monday of each month. Club nights will be booked on the booking system and you will be notified by email of a forthcoming club-night.

Squash Leagues

Members are encouraged to join the leagues. Full details of the league rules can be found here

Ladder

We also run a ladder in addition to the monthly leagues. Once you've registered and logged in you will be able to add your name to the bottom of the ladder and challenge anyone above you. You only have 1 chance to challenge anyone after which you will only be able to challenge up to 3 places above you. This is a great way to start playing matches with club members prior to joining next month’s league.
